Scottish Mussel plot
Ritchie is an optimist from Glasgow with few bright prospects. He achieves little in the city, has had enough and decides to move to the countryside to earn his living as an illegal pearl fisherman with his two clumsy friends Danny and Fraser. He meets Beth, an attractive Englishwoman, but must compete for her attention against the American Ethan. When his pearl fishing also attracts a mobster, Ritchie has his hands full.
