Rencontre à Paris plot
Nancy Blanding, daughter of a multimillionaire, is celebrating her birthday in a Paris restaurant and learns during the party that her father has committed suicide. An adventurer herself, she decides to lead a modest life. Marquis Alain de Servet has her shadowed by Mauritius Legrand, a young writer without money. Mauritius reports, but at the same time informs Nancy that Servetus is a poor nobleman who only wants to marry a rich bourgeois girl. Nancy falls in love with Mauritius. When Servetus finds out, he in turn tells her that Mauritius is after her money.
