Premier Rendez-vous plot

Micheline Chevassu is a young naive woman who lives in an orphanage. She makes an appointment with a man through an advertisement. She escapes from the orphanage to go to the meeting while dreaming of her prince on the white horse. At the appointed place she finds Nicolas Rougemont, an unattractive middle-aged man, who tells her that he is taking the place of the letter writer because he had stopped.
