Polsestra plot
Irena is a gruff young hairdresser in the midst of an emotionally draining divorce from her worthless husband Brane. She lives and works in the Slovenian capital Ljubljana, but her roots lie in the coastal town of Izola. During a short visit to her home, she runs into her half-sister Neža, a punky tomboy outsider with a knife and a short temper. As the child of an Albanian mother, Neža has learned to regularly confront racist comments with defensive threats. The half-sisters have been estranged for years and may share a father, but otherwise they have little in common. But since they are both desperately short of money and Neža wants to go to Ljubljana to get an education, Irena suggests moving in with her in her cramped apartment for the time being. What could go wrong?
