Op Stap plot
"The first Dutch society-film"
Father and mother Fortune rent out rooms to earn some extra money. Uncle Barend (Adolphe Engers) has sent a letter from the Indies that he is coming to the Netherlands, but when he is at the door of his family, they take him for someone else. Due to a delay, the letter has not yet arrived and because Mother Fortune does not receive her unknown guest too friendly, she decides to give herself another name. This leads to funny complications. Uncle Barend became acquainted with the famous movie star Bella Ramona (Fien de la Mar) and visits her several times at home, as he is quite interested in this striking, blond appearance.
