Once upon a Dream plot
The Aftermath of World War II. Major Gilbert is discharged from the army and returns home to his wife Carol. He feels exhausted and has little interaction with her before going to bed. The Major has brought Jackson, his personal servant from the army. He has decided to hire Jackson as his new butler. However, Carol falls in love with Jackson. At night she has a romantic dream about Jackson. The next morning, she wakes up convinced that the dream was true. She doesn't understand why Jackson doesn't treat her like a lover.
