Bob Laurent, son of a desperate and ruined family, is fed up with his life. He decides to commit suicide. To this end, he hires a mobster who must shoot him within 48 hours. During that time, however, Bob reverses his decision. But the killer continues to pursue him and absolutely wants to fulfill the previously made agreement.
