Ohara Shôsuke-san plot
Saheita is the last heir to an ancient, wealthy family that was once highly regarded. Though he is financially on the brink of ruin, he cannot refuse favors and money from the villagers when they come to ask for it. This is why they call him behind his back 'Mr. Shosuke Ohara', after a famous rich man who wasted his money by hanging out and drinking. He sponsors a sewing club at home, has a Buddhist monk teach religious lessons, and pays for the uniforms of the local baseball team. If he then gets into financial trouble, he just thinks of something else and wishes the troubles away. However, reality soon catches up with him.
