"It's Debbie! In the funniest fix a girl ever got into."

The successful actress Janice Courtney becomes overwrought and is prescribed six weeks of absolute rest. She spends those weeks at her vacation home in rural Connecticut. There she meets six homeless bums and decides to take the six under her wing. Meanwhile, Reverend Jim Larkin shows an above-average interest in Janice.
