Mr. Washington Goes to Town plot

Wallingford is in prison. While incarcerated, he reads a newspaper stating that his cellmate, Schenectady, has inherited a hotel from a recently deceased uncle. Meanwhile, Schenectady falls asleep thinking he is a rich man. His dream soon turns to how he will run the establishment. This turns out not to be so easy.
