As a child, Roger Crumpkin (Serious) has been knocked out of all imagination and as a result he has to take everything apart. This is not the ideal qualification for a maintenance engineer in an egg factory. Because he is too shy and clumsy, he has to spend the rest of his life alone. But when he meets the equally eccentric Sunday Valentine (Helen Dallimore), who has a compelling disorder for fixing things and a passion for UFOs, Roger is sold. His discovery of a mysterious VW hubcap buried millions of years in a sandstone could be evidence of extraterrestrial life and the way to Sunday's heart. But first, she must escape Roger's boss, who is Sunday's ex in addition to being a serial killer.
