After Mexican Carmelita Lindsay buys a kitten during her vacation, she sends a telegram in bad English from which everyone infers that she is becoming a mother. Somehow this information is linked to a major business transaction of Carmelita's husband Dennis Lindsay, with whiskey manufacturer Lord Basil Epping. Strange complications follow.
