Lightnin' plot
"As Human and Dramatic As the Life Story of Your Best Friend"
Lightnin' Bill Jones, a man who likes to drink, does odd jobs around the Calivada Hotel, run by his wife and their adopted daughter Millie. Property dealers, learning that the hotel is on the route of a planned railroad, persuade Mrs. Jones to sell the land. However, on the advice of John Marvin, a young lawyer in love with Millie, Bill refuses to sign the bill of sale.
