Lightnin' plot
"Love and Laughter in the land of quick divorce"
Lightnin' Bill Jones is a man who has a penchant for alcohol. Bill does odd jobs big and small in and around the Calivada Hotel, run by his wife Mary and their adopted daughter Milly. Real estate speculators learn that the hotel is on a plot of land over which a railway line is planned. These speculators know how to talk Mary into selling the property. However, on the advice of the young lawyer John Marvin, who is in love with Milly, Bill refuses to sign the sales contract.
