Helena Altmanová is a friendly high school French and literature teacher. Coolly she knows how to deal with the precarious situation with her students and in her home situation. Her home situation demands a lot from her, living under one roof with her ex-husband Karel, her sister the widow Krystina, her son Adam and her elderly and in love mother Alzbeta. She hardly has time for herself. Then she meets František. And fall head over heels in love!
