Bland and not funny. And while films such as Le Pari (4*) and Les Trois Frères (3.5*) by the comedy trio Les Inconnus were phenomenal successes and the good days of Made French comedy in the late 90s. What happened here? The three kings are lost in our time and are looking for the child Jesus in Paris. This is the starting point of all kinds of anachronistic jokes, in which the Epiphany ends up in McDonalds, wants to check into a hotel, comes into contact with drugs, prostitution, police, etc. The jokes could all be written much more cleverly, because it does not come across as if a lot of effort has gone into it. Moreover, the peripheral characters Masha and Jo are annoying and do not click with the trio. A miss should also be possible...
