Jean-Pierre Ménard is a rich and elegant man. He has been married for ten years to Odile who does not work and takes his money unscrupulously. Their sex life is almost non-existent... He has the unpleasant feeling of being just a bank to her and decides to respond. In the middle of the night, he steals the credit card and checkbooks from his wife's handbag.
