Le Mur plot
Surrealist film about an owner of a French fries shop in Brussels and the language struggle in Belgium. In Brussels, but also beyond, the division between Flemish-speaking and French-speaking inhabitants is becoming more and more extreme. When the Wallonian Albert, the owner of a chip shop, comes home in the early hours of the millennium celebration, he sees that a kind of Berlin wall has been pulled through the city in the middle of the night to separate the Flemish and the Wallonians from each other. However, the wall runs right through his chip shop, which is now split in two. Unfortunately, he is on the wrong (Flemish) side of the wall, as the front of the case is on the other side.
