"A Sardinian fisherman has promised the moon to the woman he loves. And Sardinian men always keep their promises."
The Italian secret service is called to account by America: a Sardinian has become the owner of the moon. Soldier Gavino Zoccheddu is hired to find out who bought the moon and why. To do that, he has to be transformed into a true Sardinian, which causes some problems. During all this, no one is allowed to know who Gavino is and his identity must remain a secret.
