L'Oncle Charles plot
In New Zealand, wealthy French businessman Charles Doumeng sees his world crumble when he learns he has an incurable disease. He is in his sixties, has no family or heirs and only a few weeks to live. Struck by a sudden revival of affection, he decides to track down his sister, whom he has not seen for fifty years, in western France. In Mauprivez, a small village near Nantes, 35-year-old poor Corinne reads the ad posted by Charles to find his sister. In order to collect the corresponding reward, she tries to track down the missing woman. When her efforts are unsuccessful, she decides to start a fake family with the help of those around her.
