Krieger und Liebhaber plot

The long friendship between mob boss Cäsar (Hilmar Thate) and master chef Alfons (Dieter Pfaff) is put under great strain when the latter warns the former's adulterous girlfriend that an attack is being prepared on her. Alfons tries to persuade Cäsar to revoke the death sentence for the girl he is secretly in love with and let everything go back to the way it was. He finds out that things don't work that way in the underworld.
