Kaiserjäger plot

Actually, the proud grandfather, Count Leopold Hardberg, retired general, had already announced his coming grandson as his successor, but that grandson, to his chagrin, turned out to be a granddaughter. Years later, Antonia has grown into a beautiful young lady. When the Imperial Guard makes quarters in the castle where she lives, she jokingly puts on her father's uniform and joins the men on a maneuver. She soon collides with her commander, Oberleutnant Pacher, who slowly but surely begins to realize who that new recruit must be.
