Kahlekuningas plot

Finland, 1970s. Because of a lie, 12-year-old Esko is rejected by his friends. Patrick lives across the border and becomes Esko's new friend. But Swedes and Finns don't get along very well. Patrick's father is against the friendship. Yet the two boys continue to meet. They each have their dreams and fantasies: Esko about his grandfather's war stories, Patrick about handcuff king Houdini. Esko does not know, however, that Patrick is seriously ill.
