Jofroi plot

Jofroi is a farmer who sells his land to his neighbor Fonse. When the olive trees no longer want to bear fruit, Fonse decides to cut them down. When Jofroi hears this, he revolts and even threatens to commit suicide if Fonse goes through with his plans. Fonse is not convinced and the mayor and the pastor have to intervene to make him change his mind.
