Janie Gets Married plot
Being married isn't as blissful as Dick Lawrence and Janie Conway had hoped. Dick is hired to write the page fillers for his father-in-law's newspaper, but he doesn't get the chance to show his real writing skills. Janie does the housework and in the meantime has to deal with her 'well-meaning' mother and mother-in-law. When Dick invites a buddy from the army to stay with them and this buddy turns out to be a young lady, things don't get any better.
