To Laura Hammond's large family, she is simply the mother who smoothes out their tumultuous lives. However, they have no idea that Laura is a successful writer. Her bestseller reaches literary agent Stephen Hodgson. He takes her to the United States to work on a film script. This suddenly puts Laura in the spotlight.
