And because Adolpho can't even afford the rent for his house, he offers his screenplay for sale in an advertisement. Joe is a bon vivant and criminal who wants to become a film producer. However, his views on fundraising are remarkable to say the least. Besides Adolpho's life, Joe also drastically changes Adolpho's view of film.
