Carrie heads a business empire and has four children. After her husband passed away, she stopped dating for a while, but now she is under the spell of widower Jim. She has been dating him for 6 months and very impulsively decides to get married. Jim is a furniture maker, but also has four children of his own, so their blended family creates the necessary chaos. Carrie tries as best she can to combine her demanding profession with the hectic family life, but after a few months thinks of giving up. However, the kids think otherwise...
