Homo Novus plot
In 1930s Riga, every successful artist lives a wild, bohemian life. Poor but ambitious Juris Upenajs comes from the countryside to the big city to build an artist career. On his very first night, he meets the love of his life at a party. However, he finds himself in conflict with the elite and rival artist Eizens, who has just returned from Paris, determined to get hold of his wealthy uncle's inheritance. Confusion and misunderstanding soon arise.
