Watched this movie on the recommendation of a number of people, but I don't think it's that special. Admittedly: Eddy Murphy plays a strong role here as a guru and yet I didn't think he was that hilarious. Well, I have to admit I'm not an overly fan of Murphy.

I found the characters of Goldblum and Preston downright boring. Every now and then I could smile, but I didn't think it was a world film.

Gosh, what a negativity about this movie here! It's another typical Eddie Murpy film: funny, light-hearted, feel-good and moving. The combo with Goldblum is good as always.

That 2.11 is really incomprehensible to me. I liked it: 3.5*

Unfortunately.

Yet another goof with Eddie Murphy. It's not up to him though. Or at least, if we're talking about his talent for choice. That is certainly not as present as his acting talent, because how you were able to make so many crap films with that talent.. It is a mystery to me. Anyway, Holy Man is one that fits seamlessly into a series of bland snacks.

Although intended as a feel good, it hardly comes out. One does not get any further than a trite morality, brought to an equally trite ending. Jeff Goldblum is also not really the man for these kinds of roles. Strange casting. Murphy himself is quite subdued, but at no point shows up, as nothing really shows in this film.

1,5
