On graduation day at Hattie Greenfield Agricultural College, grumpy Hattie Greenfield, who donated the grounds and buildings for this college twenty-one years earlier, is angered by students' benign attempt to poke fun at her. Hattie then refuses to donate more money to the school, despite the pleas of Professor Edgar Boggs, the president of the college. Edgar and Dr. However, Hall, the college's vet, are determined to raise enough money for the needed buildings.
