Steve Nichols is one of the many unemployed actors in New York. Dressed as superhero Captain Avenger, he gets to sign autographs. When he is still in a supermarket with the suit on while it is being robbed, he beats up the perpetrators. This makes the news and he decides to take on a secret second identity. The ad agency is eager to find him for the mayor's campaign, but there are 62 Captain Avengers on the loose.
