Hating Kapatid plot

Rica Maria and Cecilia Maria are daughters of teachers who are out of the country and are also very good friends. They grow up in Bocaue and help their family with the production of firecrackers. The two girls are inseparable and Rica takes her role as an older sister very seriously. She breaks off her relationship with Bong and immediately takes care of Cecilia when she is only slightly injured in a minor accident. Ten years have passed and the girls' parents are dwindling back home. They all move to Manila, where Rica decides to sell jewelry, even though she can easily get a better job. Cecilia works in a video store and here meets Edsel, who trades in insurance. Rica notices that the two are very attracted to each other and does everything she can to keep them apart. Cecilia, who wants to make Rica happy, tracks down Bong. However, the outcome is exactly the opposite.
