Hashimura Togo plot

After being accused of a breach of diplomacy by his brother, Hashimura Togo bears the brunt and leaves Japan in disgrace for the United States, where he enters the service of Mrs. Reynolds as a butler. Togo discovers that Mrs. Reynolds' daughter Corinne is in love with Dr. Garland, but is forced to marry Carlos Anthony, who, having confiscated all of her late father's money, now promises to save the family from financial ruin in exchange for Corinne's hand in marriage. Hashimura enlists the help of a reporter to prove the deception and stop the marriage.
