Fortunella plot
Nanda Diotallevi, a somewhat simple girl, is exploited by Peppino, a lazy girl. When she gets her umpteenth disappointment from him, she flees. She meets the strange professor Capricana. That man is very intelligent but gave up his good career and left his wealthy family to live alone and independently. Fortunella inherits a country house from him. It is actually more of a dilapidated cave, but Fortunella decides to live there anyway. A group of itinerant actors come to stay with her. With regard to those, who turn out to be just as big of a loser as herself, she conjures up the illusion of being a princess.
