Eva über Bord plot
Would-be journalist Eva, eager to prove her worth, conceives the idea of spending her holiday in the Far East on a container ship. There she wants to investigate ship abductions and piracy in the South China Sea and finally be taken seriously as a journalist with her article. In Bangkok she therefore enthusiastically embarks on the 'Liberty' and starts asking around with the crew and the captain. What she doesn't know is that she is actually on to something: the ship is hijacked and the valuable cargo ends up in the hands of freebooters armed to the teeth.
