El Cochecito plot
An old man, lonely in a busy, middle-class family in which even affection has been elevated to decency, tries to break his isolation. He finds a way out with a group of paralyzed young and old, who with their wheelchairs form a club where even races are held and where he feels useful again. However, to be really like his friends, he lacks a wheelchair, which the family refuses to him as a childish whim, as he is able to walk well.
