"She's a work in progress."

Deb is approaching thirty and living a fairly mundane life. She takes care of her recently widowed father Burt and works for her brother Daniel. Her only distraction comes in the form of reading novels and her distant love, the foreign correspondent Jay. When the opportunity arises to babysit Jay's cat in his loft while he's away on an assignment, she slowly begins to transform from an ugly duckling into a beautiful swan.
