Die Göttliche Jette plot

The brazen Jette performs every evening with her mother as a singer in a theatre in a Berlin suburb. The young Austrian Count Eugen Opalla, who admires Jette, makes it possible for her to audition at the Königstädtische Theater. At first she fails with a classical opera aria, but when she performs a verse by Barsch, the stage manager of the suburban theatre, she wins the hearts of the commissioners with her fresh manner.
