Die Gipfelstürmerin plot

The successful neurosurgeon Sonja (Thekla Carola Wied) is ambitious: she diligently strives for the executive chair. Her husband Bernhard (Peter Bongartz), on the other hand, wants to make a long journey. When the grandchildren come by unexpectedly, she sees him blossom. A concrete offer as a manager makes a difficult choice between career or family.
