Degirmen plot

Sarıpınar is a small, poor town close to Istanbul, the capital of the Ottoman Empire. The beautiful Bulgarian Nadja, later renamed Naciye, arrives here in 1914, who goes into exile in the Ottoman Empire because of accusations of prostitution in her homeland. When an earthquake occurs during a party where she is dancing, this leads to a series of grotesque events.
