What an incredibly bad movie! I've never seen such a bad movie! This is the worst movie of any actor or actress to have starred in this. What a shame to have played in this. Too bad this is just the bottom of movie history.

Clearly refers to Sunset Boulevard (1950) and the recurring music reminded me of a Hitchcock thriller. On its own, however, the film fails to impress. The effects are good, the script mediocre and the jokes often lackluster.

Not really.

As a director, Robert Zemeckis moves to all sides of the film world. Sometimes it is a dramatic adventure film, other times it is a science fiction film. This time he makes an attempt to make an imaginative film with a large dose of camp. Unfortunately, that doesn't work for him.

With the name Zemeckis I think mainly America, because he clearly belongs to the better known names from this film country. Despite the fact that I don't really see many of his films as absolute toppers, I must say that he has delivered fairly consistent quality. There is something to notice in this film to a lesser extent. What is noticeable are the well-known names that present themselves silly here.

I had to warm up to Willis in particular and by warming up I mean mostly spotting, because it took me a long time to recognize him. Death Becomes Her is a film that focuses very much on rudeness, by which I mean that there are sometimes quite funny scenarios in it, but most of the film leaves a cold impression. Certainly the introduction, in which there is not even any fun at all, goes on far too long.

Once the film starts to get a bit wilder, it starts to pull itself up, but by that time the boredom was already too heavy. A film with little audiovisual experience, but in general also quite disappointing in terms of creativity for a film that includes so many special scenes. Some directors are better off just looking safe. Zemeckis is one of them. Movie that I didn't like at all.
