What drives the magical power in the land of Santa Claus? The exhausted and overworked elf Albert believes that it is the love of people that comes from gratitude for the gifts they receive. He suspects that it is better to just go to people and take full advantage of their love. Albert leaves the North Pole and discovers that no one on Earth believes in Santa's magic and gifts. As his magical powers begin to wane, Albert and 11-year-old David set out on a quest for the meaning of Christmas.
