Parker Ballantine (Bob Hope) is a critical theater critic. Feeling useless, his wife Angela (Lucille Ball) begins writing a play for fun. To her surprise, a major producer shows his interest and her piece even hits the stage. Parker feels compelled to also check out his wife's work and is horrified to see the worst play he has ever seen.
