This film is a parody of the story of Cristóbal Colón, aka Christopher Columbus, who sets sail from Europe to America to discover it. Politics in Spain is noisy and many strange figures try to take advantage of the situation, such as the hysterical Father Tomás de Torquemada, who asks the Catholic king to expel all Jews. The king of Portugal and his daughter also seem to have their problems and when the explorers set foot in America, Coca-Cola already appears to be a household name there!
