Claude plot

Claude is a landscaper who is having a terrible day. He's been abandoned by his girl, humiliated by his employer, and has just vented his wrath on a cookie-selling girl scout. But while he's burning his ex's photos, something goes wrong and the entire apartment complex goes up in flames. He is then arrested twice and released twice. On his way home from the police station, he meets the charming Beatrice, an illegal French immigrant who is concerned about a Cambodian orphan and tries to evade the police who may be looking for her for murder. Feeling sorry for her, Claude asks her to move in with him and his crazy family. Perhaps she has a positive influence on them.
