Caprices plot

Two young people play a comedy at a ball one evening during the festive season in December. Lise is a famous actress, but pretends to be a poor flower seller. Philippe Martin is a leading man of the world, but camouflages himself as a forger, as a swindler. They are completely immersed in their game, dragging some of their loved ones with them on a series of adventures. For her part, Lise is urged by her friends to continue her role opposite Philippe Martin, because her friends need money for the performance of a new show. She even receives Philippe Martin in a filthy house, where she is supposed to live with her parents.
