"Brand new excitement as a brand new racket racket says"
Rickey Deane leads a gangster gang in New York. Deane wants to slow down and buys the Connecticut village of Middle Village, which he also plans to use as a shelter. Deane falls in love with Virginia, the daughter of local judge Paradise. Deane likes his current life and decides to return the protection money collected by his gang members to the people of Middle Village. But then Deane's rival Chink Moran is fired from the army and he turns Deane's gang members against him.
