Bunny O'Hare (Bette Davis) is an elderly woman living in New Mexico. She tries to financially support herself and her two adult children, who have gone astray. Bunny is evicted from her house due to a bank error. With nowhere to go, Bill Green (Ernest Borgnine) lends her his trailer to live in. Bunny then discovers that Bill has been a bank robber in the past and is still on the run. Together they set out to get her money back.
