Broadway Gondolier plot
"LOVERS ENRAPTURED -- ...Sweethearts enthralled in the light of venetian moonbeams and music!"
A singing taxi driver secretly works on his dream of becoming a radio singer in a musical comedy. One day he gives the secretary of a radio station a lift. She chats in full about the sponsor of a new competition. The sponsor, a leading cheese company, is looking for a singing gondolier to participate in their latest advertising campaign. Later, the secretary and head of the cheese company go to Venice to see the real McCoy, unaware that the determined taxi driver is already there waiting for them. Sure enough, they love him and he gets hired. Things are going very well until he feels obliged to tell the truth during a major broadcast.
